What youll be doing

As Operational Support youll manage all correspondence and communication within the business ensuring that all customer contacts are dealt with in accordance with relevant processes. Youll liaise with external suppliers and other business areas printing and collation of information to assist in the generation of work packs. Provide administration and management support to varied district operations building daily/weekly resource planning programmes including maintenance investment activities time writing and zone management reporting on KPIs.

  • Provide administration and management support within all areas of the business

  • Manage all correspondence and communication within the business

  • Ensure that all customer contacts are dealt with in accordance with relevant processes

  • Assist in the building of the weekly work programme with Connections staff raising orders time writing etc

  • Supporting the weekly and daily maintenance of the resource plan and work programme

  • Production and delivery of reports and management information within agreed timescales

  • Liaison with external suppliers and other business areas Printing and collation of information to assist in the generation of work packs

  • Contribute as an effective team member of Connections team

  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in all activities performed.

  • Ensure awareness of and comply with Company Health Safety and Environmental requirements on issues as they arise.

  • Comply with appropriate safety equipment as required

  • Work towards a zeroaccident culture.

What youll bring

  • Planning and Organising skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Previous administrative experience

  • Able to operate at all levels of the business

  • Working knowledge of Business IT systems

  • Working knowledge of health safety and environmental legislation

  • Developed negotiation communication and people management skills.

  • Developed Customer Service skills

  • Knowledge of the Asset Inspection System (AIS) SAP & Salesforce

As a minimum you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a multistranded project support/coordination role or equivalent role

  • General knowledge of the Operations Maintenance and Construction Businesses activities.

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard

  • Computer literacy e.g. Microsoft Office suite
