Job Description

The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Applications for the following position:

Job title: Animal Control Officer
Opening Date: March 25 2025
Closing Date: April 3 2025
Salary: 17.04 per hr. Entry level
Hours: Monday Friday 8am 5pm (Subject to Dept. Director & Supervisor discretion hours may vary)

Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for enforcing violations of all city codes and ordinances to ensure the health safety and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Pearsall including the control health safety and the humane destruction of animals.

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have 3 5 years of experience in related field
OR
Any combination of related education experience certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
Must possess a valid Texas Class C Drivers License.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
