TheMaxwell Underground Mine owned byMalabar Resources Ltdhas commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life the underground mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To support our ongoing growth we currently have an opportunity for a Surface Infrastructure Electrical Technician to join our Team. Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent the incumbent will be responsible for working in a manner that the Maxwell Surface Electrical Infrastructure is maintained in a reliable and fit for purpose state delivering the business needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain Maxwell Electrical Infrastructure to ensure it remains reliable fit for purpose and meets business needs.
  • Oversee all activities to ensure they are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Support the team in achieving business objectives and performance targets.
  • Assist in developing Surface Infrastructure systems and processes as asset responsibilities expand.
  • Support the Infrastructure Superintendent by ensuring Surface Infrastructure maintenance activities are properly scoped and resourced.
  • Assist in developing effective working systems for Surface Infrastructure assets.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed promptly and costeffectively.
  • Promote and contribute to a positive culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Conduct workplace inspections of Surface Infrastructure areas in line with the Mine Inspection Plan.
  • Demonstrate and actively promote a strong safety focus supporting site HS&E requirements across the broader team.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Minimum 2 years experience safely maintaining Electrical Infrastructure in (Processing Plant Fixed Plant) environment.
  • Certificate of proficiency in an electrical trade.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of Pulse Maintenance System and an Instrumentation Trade Qualification would be advantageous.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Order 43 medical including drug and alcohol.
