BIS Safety Software is a fastpaced highgrowth organization providing leading software for the safety industry. We are expanding our team and are seeking an experienced fulltime senior ColdFusion Software Developer with strong proven abilities in the areas of programming.

About the role
Are you an experienced software developer focused on enhancing applications using ColdFusion Do you enjoy collaborating with crossfunctional teams conducting code reviews and optimizing system performance Do you have a desire to oversee all stages of software development from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance Do you have a commitment to continuous learning coaching and driving innovation
This posting is for a fulltime inperson position based out of our Sherwood Park Alberta office.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and maintain ColdFusion web applications with high performance and scalability
- Demonstrate proficiency in frontend technologies such as ReactJS AngularJS jQuery and Bootstrap
- Manage data and queries across MySQL and MSSQL databases
- Engaging in the design and enhancement of eLearning management software solutions
- Build and enhance key modules such as reporting systems directories eCommerce components and content management systems
- Conduct thorough code reviews optimize performance and ensure consistent coding standards
- Lead and mentor junior developers supporting them on secure coding architecture and query optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders designers and other developers to design effective solutions and deliver highquality software
- Perform robust QA testing and debugging prior to releases and provide postdeployment support
- Have a professional and positive attitude with a solutionbased approach to challenges
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in fullstack web development including 4 years with ColdFusion
- Proficient in ColdFusion JavaScript React SQL HTML and CSS
- Handson experience with database technologies such as MySQL and MSSQL
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science
- Possess strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrate a leadership mindset and enjoy mentoring and supporting junior developers
- Possess good English written and oral communication skills
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Have experience with eLearning or compliance tracking platforms
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies particularly on AWS is highly desirable
$75000 $80000 a year
Salary ranges are based on experience reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role. In addition to this salary we offer full medical (health dental and vision) coverage as well as life insurance and disability insurance.
