The Broadcast Operations Manager plan/manages the daily operation of the Stamford facility supplying the OnAir needs of our Productions and provides inStudio Operations support for shows involving Multiple Complex Remote facilities usage.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee / Manage day to day operations from planning booking and monitoring high profile sporting events
- Strategic transmission planning for remote shows and productions
- Act as the liaison with Media Outlets (such as RSN 30 Rock and other NBC affiliates or Independent Networks)
- Work with vendors on signal and connectivity planning on assigned projects
- Ingest all digital and/or tape material for editing and browsing
- Schedule digital records of all guest cameras standups and pretaped shows and segments
- Perform technical QC of ingested elements
- Operate routers waveform monitors and vector scopes
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements:
- College degree in communications /television production or related field and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum five 5 years experience working in TV production / broadcast operations
- Minimum three 3 years experience with Ingest and/or Master Control live broadcast environment
- Knowledge of transmission systems and format specs
- Knowledge and experience with ingest devices (Airspeed Media Grid Telestream) and File transfer functions
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Must be a team player with the ability to also work independently with little supervision
- Must be available for all shifts including nights weekends and holidays

- Ability to work in fast paced high pressure environment under extreme deadline pressure
- Knowledge of ScheduALL scheduling system
