Overview
The Staff Accountant I plays a crucial role in the financial health and integrity of our organization by providing accurate and timely financial data supporting various accounting functions and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain and record journal entries in the accounting system.
- Support monthend and yearend closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliation.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain organized financial records for easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with the finance team on various projects.
- Perform data entry and manage accounting software systems.
- Assist in tracking and managing fixed assets.
- Respond to queries and provide information to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in accounting or related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with financial reporting procedures.
