Job Description
HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
Oversee & Support Trade Compliance business unit functions mostly Imports & some Exports. Can be remote if you live in any of the following states: Arizona California Connecticut Florida Indiana Kansas Kentucky Massachusetts Michigan New York Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania South Carolina Tennessee Texas Utah Washington West Virginia.
EXPECTATIONS
Oversee &Support Business Units in the Trade Compliance function
Will be responsible to assess current Trade Compliance program make recommendations and roll out guidelines for all Business Units.
Support/guide/audit/train all Business Units in regard to Trade Compliance matters
Consult with Counsel on necessary TC matters
Responsible for all import/export licensing
Oversee all FTAs especially USMCA
Provide guidance for all Classifications HTS/ECCN
Set up KPIs for FF & Brokers audit
Look for potential cost savings through programs such as duty drawback Maquila program reconciliation etc.
Work with all Government agencies to especially CBP & BIS
Procedures/manuals/training
ESSENTIALS
Bachelors Degree highly preferred & LCB a plus
Experience in corporate trade compliance North America a plus
Experience with all aspects of importing as above expectations state
Some export licensing preferred
FTZ AND Maquiladora operations experience required
Extensive experience in Microsoft applications
20 travel will be required
