Performs general custodial duties as directed by departmental leadership.Job Description
Essential Functions:
Academics and Residence Halls
Completes duties not limited to sweeping vacuuming and mopping floors; dusting and polishing furniture and woodwork.
Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies.
Empties and cleans waste and recycling receptacles; picks up paper and trash.
Cleans relight glass windows and walls.
Cleans decks balconies sidewalks offices laundry rooms and common space areas.
Sets up moves and arranges furniture and equipment.
Turns out lights and locks doors and windows as required.
Maintains cleaning materials clean and presentable. Unloads supplies and maintains custodial closets clean and organized.
Routinely launders housekeeping materials.
Performs special projects and cleans other facilities as assigned.
Reports all matters of safety to Supervisor.
Follows all University and departmental policies and procedures.
Receives direction from the Team Lead Custodial Services on work directioncleaning procedures techniques cleaning problems and in the use of new methods and products.
