Mater Hospital Mackay is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant in Nursing to join the team within the Central Sterilising Department (CSSD) on a permanent parttime basis. The successful candidate will be required to work on a rotational 24/7 roster which includes night shifts weekends and public holidays.
As the Assistant in Nursing you will perform all operational tasks required to provide efficient and effective sterile service within the Mater Health Services. The position reports directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and indirectly to the Nursing Director and Director of Nursing.
Salary range: $35.92 $36.97 per hour (AIN CSSD) plus 11.5 superannuation andaccess to notforprofit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
What youll be doing
You will support the theatre and CSSD team in activities that ensure the provision of a safe and efficient sterilising service. You will also participate in hospital quality management systems in the unit to ensure a continuous improvement focus. Your enthusiasm and skills will see you seamlessly integrate into this outstanding team assisting to provide an exceptional level of care and to hitthegroundrunning.
