The Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) with the help of its staff interprets the Oregon Nurse Practice Act evaluates and approves nursing education and nursing assistant training programs issues licenses and renewals investigates complaints and takes disciplinary action against licensees who violate the Oregon Nurse Practice Act. OSBN also maintains the nursing assistant registry and administers competency evaluations for nursing assistants and provides testimony to the legislature and other organizations as needed.

LEDS Administration
Run and interpret results of criminal background histories provided by the Oregon State Police Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) of on nursing professionals wishing to obtain licensure in Oregon or as part of an investigation into a potential NPA violation.
Run electronic criminal history record checks (Oregon only) through the LEDS system for all license and/or certification renewals; document results in agency database(s) as appropriate.
Process results received through the LEDS system for individuals applying for a new or reactivating an inactive license/certification and documenting results in agency database(s) as appropriate.
Electronically process applications from Investigators before and after the Board Meetings documenting in agency database(s) and electronically forward onto the Licensing Technician to complete their process.
LEDS Management
Coordinate and work with Licensing and Investigations staff to identify and resolve LEDSrelated processing issues.
Establish and maintain LEDS desk procedures and workflows; review and update policies as required.
LEDS Agency Representative
Consistently comply with OSP CJIS/LEDS and FBI recertification and training requirements of agency employees who operate LEDS data system.
Maintain and dispose of LEDS confidential documentation per OSP CJIS/LEDS requirements.
Attend ongoing training seminars and workshops.

Other duties as assigned.
Two years of experience performing administrative or office support or data entry duties
OR
An Associates Degree (in any field)
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Skill in using Microsoft 365 Suite
Previous experience using specialized reference materials such as laws policies statutes to perform one or more job duties
Previous experience using complex or secure databases
Previous experience reviewing and securing sensitive and/or criminal information

Flexibility Once the incumbent has gained the proficiency to perform work independently this position is eligible for hybrid work however regular scheduled office hours are also required. Office hours could include (subject to management discretion): one in office day per week department meetings and trainings and agencywide meetings and trainings
