Job Description

We are seeking a Payroll Manager to join a rapidly growing fastpaced professional services organization with multiple divisions. This role offers a collaborative work environment with strong managerial support and direct oversight of three team members. The ideal candidate will bring leadership accountability and analytical expertise to manage complex payroll operations within a proprietary system. This hybrid position is based in Sacramento with two remote days per week after the training period. Salary: $100000 $120000 DOE.


The qualified candidate will have prior experience working for an outsourced payroll provider exceptional customer service skills and a strong understanding of payroll processing and labor laws. Payroll certification is preferred.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage payroll to ensure timely and accurate pay for employees running associated payroll reports and maintaining uptodate payroll records.
  • Implement maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries benefits garnishments taxes and other deductions.
  • Ensure that weekly and biweekly multistate payroll is completed accurately and timely.
  • Supervise a team of payroll staff.
  • Manage review update and implement any updates to payroll processes and procedures to maintain compliance; stay abreast of changing laws ensure training is provided as needed.
  • Maintain good network and professional relationships.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Businessrelated field.
  • 5 years experience in a payroll related position.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws as well as applicable HR laws as they relate to payroll.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep up in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal customer service time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees/management.
  • Highly reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
