Job Description

Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a highly energised System Implementation Officer. This incumbent will be required to travel both locally and regional for the implementation of operational software within the business.

They will play a crucial role in planning coordinating and executing the deployment of newsystems or upgrades to existing systems to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Facilitates coordinates and analyses all continuous improvement activities. Trains the teams on best practices of how to use the CI tools and identify continuous improvement initiatives. Liaises effectively on collection of data for analysis and facilitates team or KAIZEN meetings. Follows standard problem solving techniques and communicates effectively with team members and senior
management to ensure all CI activities are aligned with the Business Unit strategy and documented in the database accordingly.



Duties & Responsibilities


Implement support maintain and continuously improve the operational systems
Maintain the ongoing reliability performance and support of the operational systems
Monitors operating environments responds to incidents and problems as well as planning for growth.
May recommend changes/enhancements for improved systems availability reliability and performance.
Participates in testing efforts and coordinates feedback of test results.
Analyses and reports on operational metrics to understand performance and to ensure success in process improvements.
Identifies ways tasks can be automated.
Documents monitors reports and manages the resolution of calls logged on the systems helpdesk
Monitors production outputs and services to ensure that SLAs and other quality metrics are being met.
Provides user support ensure calls are logged and actioned timeously and resolved within SLA.
Provide end user training
Drafting scope documents for functional development required
Project management including business case design issue log tracking and risk registers.
Coordination of centralized communication between the business and 3rd party software vendors.



Minimum Requirements
In possession of a business analyst qualification or project management qualification a relevant degree is an advantage. A good understanding of Transport Management systems will be an advantage.1 3 years software implementation or project management experienceProblem solvingStrong analytical skills Strong communication skills Ability to handle multiple implementations simultaneously will be required. Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure. Advanced excel skills Achievement driven and selfstarterProject and Pipeline Management
