This role as Financial Lines Senior Underwriter (f/m/x) will offer a unique opportunity to drive our growth across several Eastern European countries and build our Financial Lines portfolio. We are looking for a talented individual with several years of experience in Financial Lines underwriting. The position requires both an ambition to build relationships across a large region but also the ability to handle multiple submissions from different countries and the desire to build a portfolio from the ground up. The successful candidate will design a strategy setup a process and underwrite risks to grow Financial Lines in Eastern Europe.
The position is located in Germany and reports to the Practice Leader Financial Lines Central and Eastern Europe. The goal is to manage and develop a portfolio and lead the organization towards realizing our mission as a leading insurer in Europe with focus on profitable growth.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow Financial Lines portfolio of Eastern European risks
- Build relationship with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Operate as the main Financial Lines contact for Eastern European brokers
- Work closely with the actuarial team to make sure the portfolio is long term sustainable
- Work closely with the European underwriting managers and the Head of FL Europe in setting a longterm strategy
Requirements:
- extensive experience in Financial Lines underwriting preferably within multiple products
- Minimum bachelors degree preferably in Business Administration Finance or Law
- Have a strong interest in negotiating and in analyzing risks
- Have a positive determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
- Be flexible ambitious and independent
- Strong written and verbal skills in English. Eastern European language skills is a plus
- Open to travel and building strong relationships both internally and externally

Was Sie erwartet:
- Ausbau unserer Geschftsaktivitten in einigen Lndern in Osteuropa
- Aufbau von Kundenbeziehungen mit Maklern und Kunden sowie Anpassung der Financial Lines Produkte an die lokalen Gegebenheiten (Osteuropa)
- Underwriting (Risikoprfung und selektion) von osteuropischen Risiken in allen Financial Lines Produktbereichen (ausgenommen M&A)
- Prsentation der AIG gegenber Kunden und Maklern als flexibler Solution Provider
Was Sie mitbringen:
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Rechts oder Wirtschaftswissenschaften (internationale Abschlsse von Vorteil) oder vergleichbarer Studiengnge
- Langjhrige Berufserfahrung im Bereich Financial Lines (Underwriting und Produktentwicklung) in (Ost) Europa
- Vorhandenes Netzwerk von Beziehungen (Kunden und Makler) in Osteuropa
- Kreativitt und Innovationsfreude um passende Versicherungslsungen in einem sehr dynamischen Risikoumfeld zu erarbeiten
- Affinitt fr Versicherungsbedingungen und der damit im Zusammenhang stehenden Marketingaktivitten
- Teamfhigkeit und schnelle Auffassungsgabe sowie Entscheidungsfreude
- Hohe Belastbarkeit besonders beim Arbeiten unter Stress und Termindruck sowie hohes Durchsetzungsvermgen
- Flieende Englischkenntnisse weitere osteuropische Sprachkenntnisse von Vorteil
