Duties & Responsibilities
A leading manufacturing company with a longstanding presence in the steel industry is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function. The role involves overseeing financial reporting budgeting compliance and cost controls while working closely with operations. This is a senior position within a highly technical highvolume environment where strategic input on cash flow and financial sustainability will be key.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting in line with IFRS standards
- Ensure tax and regulatory compliance (VAT PAYE Income Tax etc.
- Lead external audit processes and maintain audit readiness
- Drive cost control margin management and stock accuracy
- Analyse product costing and support pricing strategies
- Manage budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes
- Monitor cash flow working capital and banking relationships
- Oversee credit control and debtor management
- Lead and mentor a small finance team
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure financial governance
- Manage and optimize ERP system usage (Sage Syspro SAP etc.
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:
- CA(SA) accreditation is essential
- 58 years post article experience in manufacturing is essential
- Proven managerial experience
