The Global Seeds Sourcing Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for endtoend of Supply Chain activities to support cross regional seed production including but not limited to delivery of parent seed timing of planting scheduling of processing activities quality decisions and shipment of seed. All activities work in coordination with Regional Supply Chain Teams to ensure timely delivery of seed to customers.
Duties:
- Collaborate with Regional Seeds P&S teams on of crossregional seeds production plans ensuring standard processes system use and best practices.
- Collaborate with Regional Field Crops Planning Leads on SPP calendars presentations and other information as requested.
- Collaborate with Global Seeds Hub Operation Lead to support Seeds Hubbing model and intercompany movement of seed.
- Ensure documentation of key activities and develop/maintain playbooks for Global Planning & Sourcing activities.
- Coordinate and create export documents to facilitate international seed movements or other items as requested.
- Including but not limited to: Proforma invoices commercial invoices packing lists GMO Annex Forms Certificates of Origin.
- Coordinate winter production seed movements from South America to North America & Europe.
- Knowledge of global import/export requirements including trade agreements and phytosanitary requirements for seeds.
- Request and process applications for phytosanitary certificates for all Production & Supply seed shipments leaving the US.
- Understanding of import permits field inspection reports and seed health testing reports to ensure requirements for importation are being met.
- Maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor international freight movements and ontime performance by freight providers.
- Monitor global logistics environment and rates to ensure Syngenta Seeds is meeting or exceeding industry standards.
- Manage OECD certification needs for winter production including OECD list additions multiplication agreements and other information as required by importing countries.
- Serve as contact person for US seed certification agencies assisting as needed with issues around certification of seed.
- Serve as contact for National Seed Health Systems accreditation activities for NA Field Crops.
- Develop and maintain a repository maintaining market import/export requirements and for storing field inspection reports and lab seed health testing reports.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree preferably in agriculture business or logistics.
- 5 years of work experience.
- International experience with seed industry preferred.
- Multiple years of experience in logistics and/or seeds industry preferred.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office software systems.
- Ability to work days evenings and weekends during businesscritical times.
