Job Description
The Literacy Department at Niagara University invites applications for a full time faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning in August 2025.
The successful applicant for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor of Literacy position will have a doctoral degree in education literacy or a closely related field and experience teaching in P12 schools and higher education. Candidates should demonstrate success or the potential for excellence in teaching scholarship and service.
Job Duties
As a tenuretrack faculty member the hired candidate will be required to teach three courses in each of the fall and spring semesters publish impactful scholarly research and participate in service (committees advisement etc. to the department college and university. Attendance at meetings and holding regular office hours will also be expected. The courses assigned may be at the graduate or undergraduate level and may include other areas as department needs dictate. They may be a mix of traditional (facetoface) and online formats in the daytime evenings or on Saturdays. Primary responsibilities for this position will be in the U.S.A.
