Job Description
Location: Onsite Parttime 13week Internship

Since 1897 Middlesex Water Company has been a trusted leader in the industry delivering essential services with integrity and innovation. Now were looking for a creative and driven Communications & Corporate Affairs Intern to join our dynamic team!
This handson internship is a unique opportunity to gain realworld experience in corporate communications social media employee engagement and public affairs. If youre passionate about storytelling digital content and community impactand want to make your mark at a missiondriven organizationwe want to hear from you.
What Youll Do
- Create engaging content for our social media platforms (LinkedIn X Facebook Instagram)
- Draft internal communications including newsletters intranet updates and employee engagement content
- Assist with media materials like press releases and corporate messaging
- Track media coverage monitor trends and provide insights on industry news
- Support community outreach and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts
- Help plan and execute company events and communications campaigns
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications Public Relations Marketing Journalism or a related field
- Exceptional writing editing and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms
- Basic knowledge of design or video editing tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Selfstarter who thrives in a collaborative fastpaced environment
- Bonus: Interest in public utilities sustainability or government affairs
Additional Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid drivers license
- Must successfully pass a background check drug screen and preemployment physical
This position will primarily take place in an office environment with standard physical requirements (computer work light movement etc..
