Now Hiring: Kindergarten Catholic School Teacher
Location: Holy Redeemer Grade School Southwest Detroit
Holy Redeemer Grade School a vibrant PreK8 Catholic school in the heart of southwest Detroit is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher for theschool year. This is a unique opportunity to join a missiondriven team committed to forming disciples of Christ while educating young learners in a supportive faithfilled innercity environment. The selected teacher will be mentored by an experienced Kindergarten educator ensuring a strong start and ongoing guidance throughout the school year.
At Holy Redeemer we believe that a qualified faithfilled and highly skilled Catholic school teacher plays a critical role in the success of our students. This ministry offers the opportunity to serve as both educator and Christian witnesssomeone who inspires by word and example. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with the pastor principal and fellow teachers to create a learning environment where students grow spiritually emotionally and academically.
Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution and possess (or be willing to obtain) a valid Michigan teacher certification. Catechist certification or a willingness to obtain it is also required as outlined by the Department of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education through both personal witness and professional excellence be able to implement Archdiocesan Curriculum Standards evaluate student performance and fulfill daily supervisory duties.
Applicants with a degree in a noneducation field may also be considered if they show a strong desire to learn classroom management techniques and work closely with a mentor teacher. While the Kindergarten teacher will be employed through Berkley Public Schools the position is housed at Holy Redeemer Grade School. This role includes mentorship from the current Kindergarten teacher to ensure a smooth and wellsupported transition.
