mPower is a womanowned small business looking for a wellrounded and detailoriented Financial Manager to provide professional technical and functional support in the areas of financial planning budget and administrative oversight. This parttime position supports the organizations financial operations and ensures compliance with all relevant federal regulations and policies. The Financial Manager collaborates closely with government personnel field activities and other financial stakeholders to meet budgetary and reporting objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops and monitors budget phasing plans and ensures alignment with current financial .
Mentors junior staff in the Navy budgeting process and presents organized financial data to leadership.
Maintains the accuracy and integrity of official accounting records and supports TriAnnual Reviews.
Provides input and organizes data for midyear and annual budget reviews and exhibits (e.g. OP5 OP14 OP32.
Coordinates and formats Unfunded Requirement (UFR) documentation for higher command submission.
Tracks changes to financial projections and communicates budgetary impacts to leadership.
Reviews and verifies invoice data confirms proper lines of accounting and coordinates with DFAS to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Maintains organized records of task order payments ensuring alignment with contractual language.
Supports cost analysis projects offering reports and recommendations based on independent research and evaluation.
Exercises judgment and initiative to analyze issues recommend solutions and communicate results to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of DOD budget/financial management experience;
OR at least 8 years of DOD financial management experience ideally within a Navy or Marine Corps environment.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role preferably in a DOD setting.
Valid state drivers license.
Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 3 Background Investigation.
