Job Description
**Immediate Interviews**
Our client isRochester Institute of Technology. This position will assist the Facilities Management Services. This is a6 month maximum contractrole with opportunity to becomehired full timewith pay starting at$18.50/hour.
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Area Mechanic respond to service calls and assist with skilled trade maintenance for all service calls from residents within designated housing area(s). Repairs may include but are not limited to electrical HVAC hot water clogged pipes leaking faucets etc.
Essential Tasks:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide skilled trades maintenance in the areas of plumbing electrical painting carpentry drywall and finishing masonry door and window repair/replacement as assigned.
- Follow through to completion ongoing preventative maintenance tasks as assigned by Supervisor
- Monitor work scheduled by outside contractors (i.e. painters cleaners etc. to ensure quality standards established have been achieved
- Provide access/escort to assigned areas for contract work while units are occupied as needed
- Complete inspections as residents move out and compile work assessments to restore units to an out & clean status
- Participate in rotational schedule to respond to service calls received after business hours
Qualifications/Special Skills Required:
- Experience with use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Valid drivers license is preferred
Job Types: Fulltime Contract Temporary
Salary: $18.00 per hour
