Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct game drives and guided bush walks (under supervision if necessary)
Assist senior guides in delivering highquality informative and safe guest experiences
Participate in wildlife sightings reporting and lodge conservation activities
Ensure vehicles and guiding equipment are maintained and cleaned regularly
Welcome and engage guests with warmth and professionalism
Learn and share knowledge about local flora fauna and reserve ecology
Support lodge operations as needed contributing to an allhandsondeck team environment
Adhere to all health safety and reserve protocols
Requirements
- FGASA Apprentice Field Guide (NQF2 or higher
Valid First Aid Level 1
Registered with DEAT/NDT and possession of a valid PDP (Public Driving Permit)
A genuine passion for wildlife and guiding
Friendly professional demeanour with strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn take direction and work as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
Fluent in English (additional South African languages an advantage)
FGASA Apprentice Field Guide (NQF2 or higher Valid First Aid Level 1 Registered with DEAT/NDT and possession of a valid PDP (Public Driving Permit)
Education
Accredited with a CATHSSETA NQF2 or NQF4 Nature Site Guide qualification (both theory and practical components completed). Registered as a guide with the National Department of Tourism (NDT). Valid Trails Guide Certificate VPDA (View Potentially Dangerous Animals). SASSETA Firearms Proficiency Certificates (for guiding in areas requiring rifle competency). Valid South African Code 8 Driver s License with Public Driver s Permit (PDP).
