The Assistant Professor PreProduction Artist will be responsible for delivering highquality instruction and mentorship in the areas of Advanced Drawings Preproduction (character design background) and Art & Design History. This tenuretrack position offers an opportunity to inspire and guide students in a dynamic educational environment fostering their expertise in studio art digital art and art history.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Delivery:
- Prepare and deliver lectures and studio instruction in Advanced Drawings Preproduction and Art & Design History.
- Integrate traditional and digital art mediums and industrystandard tools in teaching.
2. Student Mentorship:
- Inspire and mentor students in their artistic and creative development.
- Guide students in developing their skills and knowledge in preproduction art.
3. Curriculum and Pedagogy:
- Demonstrate expertise in teaching excellence and studentcentered learning.
- Foster diversity and inclusion within the classroom.
4. Professional Activity:
- Maintain an active research agenda with publications and presentations.
5. Communication and Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Mentor and engage students in their academic and professional growth.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree (MFA or BFA) in Art Art History or Visual Arts required.
- Demonstrated expertise and teaching experience in Advanced Drawings Preproduction and Art & Design History.
- Proficiency in traditional and digital art mediums and relevant software.
- 3 years of experience in teaching in Universities/Colleges.
