About the Role :

Were looking for a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical pillar across our engineering teams. This role is ideal for a highly experienced backend engineer who thrives on solving hard problems mentoring others and guiding architecture across multiple domains. Youll be a multiplieroperating independently shaping technical direction and partnering with engineers and product teams to raise the bar across the organization.

Youll work across squads to improve system performance reliability and scalability while owning highimpact projects that support our Conversational Email (CE) platform. Whether its unblocking performance bottlenecks leading design for new backend services or reducing tech debt your contributions will have farreaching impact.

What Youll Do :

• Own and lead design for major backend systems across CE focusing on performance scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to address crosscutting concerns (e.g. shared libraries infra patterns tech debt security)Tackle escalated production issues security vulnerabilities and architectural decisions.
• Contribute to and guide implementation of large features (e.g. platformwide improvements big bets within CE).
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers across levels and help raise the engineering bar.
• Drive documentation performance profiling and systemlevel debugging practices.
• Work with EMs and PMs to shape technical roadmap and support longterm platform health.
