What Your Day May Look Like:
- Makes foot patrols checking in with the various clinics volunteer station and coffee shop
- Makes foot patrols in the parking lots and parking structure
- Makes foot patrols inside and outside the buildings to identify any illegal or nuisance activity on the premises
- Must verbally address issues and may from time to time need to engage Hospital Security Staff and local Law Enforcement
- Serves as a visual deterrent to illegal or egregious activity. Typical encounters include loitering vagrant activity vandalism verbal altercations drug use or drug transactions and helping the general public
- The Security Officer documents rounds and incident reports via a Vision device thus they need to be comfortable with using technology
Security Officer Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Strong computer / technology skills needed
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
- Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift
- Valid Drivers license with clear driving record required
- Long periods of standing and walking are required
- Must have exceptional customer service and deescalation skills
