Our client is seeking a technicallyminded and enthusiastic engineering graduate to join their team for a 12month Workshop internship based in Boksburg. This opportunity offers practical exposure within a fastpaced workshop environment and is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain handson experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform quality calibrations inhouse and onsite in accordance with national and international standards.
- Safeguarding traceability of the laboratory equipment and results.
- Contributing to problemsolving and quality issues.
- Handle customer equipment and calibrations within the TAT KPIs.
- Make use of the Spirit system for equipment management.
- Support the calibration team in the daytoday tasks.
- Assist the workshop with remedial daytoday tasks where applicable.
- Assist the calibration team in the upkeep and good laboratory housekeeping.
- Fulfilling full compliance with necessary statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support of sales project team & logistics team with all relevant tasks.
- Follow the safety guidelines judiciously and ensure safety is topmost priority.
- Ensure timely calibrations as per reference schedule of equipment.
- The successful applicant would need to be able to lift and handle tools which would be on a heavy but acceptable weight.
- Matric
- A completed tertiary qualification in one of the following fields:
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronic Engineering
Mechatronic Engineering - Computer literacy and ability to interpret technical documentation
- A keen interest in technical systems workshop tools and machinery
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with handson tasks
- Strong commitment to learning safety and teamwork
Required Experience:
