FirstLine Manufacturing Manager (Level K)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring FirstLine Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 777 Change Incorporation & Refurbishment (CI&R) team in Everett Washington on 1st shift.

Firstline leaders on the 777 CI&R team cultivate strong crossfunctional partnerships to drive team and program objectives while fostering a work environment that prioritizes safety quality accountability trust and teamwork. This role is pivotal in promoting a firstpass quality approach within manufacturing and it is essential for our leaders to be dedicated to the success of their team members.

In this position the leader will ensure adherence to FODfree product standards and the Clean as You Go philosophy which are critical elements of our production system. A steadfast commitment to our standards our people and our customers is mandatory. The candidate will be responsible for the tactical of the Compliance strategy within the 777 CI&R team and may also provide direct support to production and manufacturing as business needs arise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
  • Leads develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience working in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • 1 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.
  • 1 years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with compliance metrics and process documentation
  • Experience with LEAN Processes
  • Ability to work any shift assigned including overtime and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 777 Program experience
  • Demonstrated adaptability when faced with new challenges
  • Ability to motivate inspire and forge connections when under pressure
  • Passion for celebrating successes and ability to effect small wins for the team
