Fabrication Specialist Team Lead (Level C) 2nd shift)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is currently seeking an Fabrication Specialist Team Lead (Level C) 2nd shift) to join the Stow Bins Team inNorth Charleston South Carolina on 2nd shift!

As a Fabrication Team lead for the Bin line area you will work with a team within a Fabrication environment using knowledge acquired from training and certification classes to complete daily assigned work. Interpreting drawings and reading/comprehending work instructions you will be responsible for. As a team lead you are responsible for assigning daily task and and ensure daily task set for current day are accomplish defectfree work.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs machine setup machining welding setup welding sheet metal fabrication and extrusion tube bending and fabrication tasks.
  • Performs composite layup fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Assembles precision mechanical and electromechanical components.
  • Assembles repairs modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
  • Prepares test articles fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
  • Performs organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
  • Applies organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
  • Works on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 1 years of aerospace fabrication or manufacturing experience working with decorative finishes
  • 1 years of experience working with and partnering with crossfunctional teams
  • Willing and able to work 2nd Shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 1 years of 787 Operations experience
  • Team Lead experience
  • Ability to inspire and energize others
  • Problem solving skills
  • 787 interiors experience

Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate2 years related work Bachelor etc..
