REPORTS TO: Principal
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for planning implementation evaluation and support of a comprehensive K12 gifted and talented service delivery model.
JOB GOAL:
To provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to helpthem fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Toenable students to develop competencies and skills necessary to function successfully insociety.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Education (Required)
Masters Degree (Preferred)
Specialized Knowledge Licenses etc.:
Arkansas Teaching Certification
Extensive knowledge of working with G/T students
Experience:
A minimum of two years teaching experience working with advanced learners is desirable.
Specific Training/Skills:
Proficient in the use of computer technology
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement program options and assessment procedures in accordance with Arkansas state and district GT goals and objectives.
- Provide direct instruction to identified GT students appropriate to the students abilities.
- Provide opportunities for all students to participate in learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
- Work with students to address affective needs and build character through education and oneonone mentoring.
- Consult with parents teachers and students to assess and evaluate students needs.
- Assists in the preparation of required reports including establishing and maintaining student profiles progress reports grades annual reviews ADE standards etc.
- Attends workshops and meetings to stay informed of current ideas trends and practices.
- Be available to participate in afterschool public events.
- Work with families and staff to collect data as needed for the purpose of evaluating program effectiveness.
- Writing and implementing curriculum; i.e. special interest units advanced thematic units etc.
- Works to establish and maintain partnerships with local community members and businesses.
- Develop or select appropriate rigorous curricula for students.
- Demonstrates knowledge of ways to effectively infuse technology into lessons.
- Performs other duties as assigned i.e. duty student monitoring club sponsor competition coach etc.
