The Special Education Department is now accepting applications for summer employment in the Extended School Year program (ESY). All current employees are encouraged to apply. Please note that you must be a licensed special education teacher to lead a classroom or SLC classroom.
Extended School Year Program Structure
Dates: July 7th August 14th (Six weeks 4 days a week)
Time: Monday Thursday 9:00am 12:00pm)
Please note that staff preferences regarding grade/age will be honored to the extent possible.
Pay Rates: $175 per day for teachers and related service providers;
$25 per hour for teaching assistants
Educators who are instructors in APS summer programs are eligible to enroll their child(ren) in SummerFun! during the weeks they are teaching. You may enroll your elementaryaged child (grades 15 Fall 25 at a 75 discount for nonvendor classes and 30 discount for vendor classes. Materials fees and some classes are excluded.
