This position is in a Career Progression Group and will be filled as a:
The Marketing Representative is responsible for overseeing and managing digital marketing campaigns working crossfunctionally with each division to support external and internal communication strategy and engagement and ensure efficient project . This role requires a detailoriented strategic thinker with strong organizational skills to coordinate various marketing initiatives from event planning to resource management ensuring maximum exposure to our target audience.
This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as a MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE 1 OR 2. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.

Three years of experience in marketing public relations or administrative services; OR
Six years of fulltime work experience in any field; OR
A bachelors degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of fulltime work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Function of Work:
To perform marketing analysis research and distribution for specialized primary statewide programs such as the Preferred Provider Organization Plan Guaranteed Student Loan Program etc.

Entry.
Supervision Received:
Close from a classified executive director or its unclassified equivalent.
Supervision Exercised:
None.
Location of Work:
May be used by all State agencies.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Marketing Representative 2 by performance of duties under close supervision in a training capacity.
Differs from the Marketing Specialist series by absence of responsibility to induce economic development.
Assists the Marketing Representative 2 in a training capacity.
Visits medical providers physicians hospitals clinics pharmacies schools lending institutions and universities to explain negotiate and promote specialized programs and services.
Explains negotiates and defines the terms of contracts. Renegotiates contracts yearly.
Collects basic economic data to create promotional material for selling purposes.
Assists in creating and conducting seminars conferences and training sessions for program utilization.
Assists in the preparation of reports of conferences and negotiations with clients.
Accompanies other representatives to observe formal sales presentations for training purposes.
Assists other representatives in the preparation of materials for presentation before various groups concerning the benefits and the services of specialized programs.
Assists in preparing publications for promotion.
