The Strategic Advisory group is one of the most experienced teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest most complex transactions in recent years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries including but not limited to technology media & telecommunications energy oil & gas power utilities & renewables infrastructure industrials consumer healthcare and real estate gaming lodging & leisure.
This position will be focused in particular on the infrastructure sector both in terms of deal origination and deal supporting senior Strategic Advisory bankers with respect to covering these two sectors in North America. The individual hired for this position will also have substantial opportunity to work across the Transportation & Logistics sector.
Vice Presidents within Advisory would be responsible for the following:
Supporting senior bankers in their daytoday coverage of clients including coordinating meetings both internally and externally developing discussion topics and associated materials tracking followups and overall tracking of client meetings and relationship coverage intensity.
Developing deep knowledge of client assets portfolios strategies and priorities to help understand where clients are focused in areas where PJT can potentially be helpful as a means to deepen / strengthen relationships with target clients further.
Participating in both internal and external client meetings and over time leading such interactions with clients.
Evaluating structuring and recommending financial and strategic alternatives including the analysis of mergers acquisitions and other strategic combinations asset sales and divestures.
Leading the daytoday of transactions including due diligence valuation analysis and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements; work with senior management and coordinate associate / analyst materials.
Conducting research of targeted industries and analyzing financial data and developments in relevant markets and subsectors in particular to ensure PJT team is uptodate with key information on transaction trends etc.
Performing financial analysis related to target clients and opportunities including valuation analysis benchmarking analysis internal rate of return analysis and capital structure analysis among other topics.
Designing and preparing written materials for use by PJT Partners management and review by clients with respect to research analysis etc. performed by PJT.
As a firm we seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated intelligent and are proven selfstarters. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills the successful candidate should have excellent communication skills a demonstrated ability to write effectively interests outside of work and a desire to work in a team environment. A strong background in finance/accounting is required.
To be considered for the position applicants must also meet the following criteria:
Bachelors Degree
Minimum 5 years of investment banking experience
Expected annualized base salary of $250000 to $300000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors including but not limited to role level and scope location candidates relevant qualifications skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners compensation structure. In addition to base salary PJT Partners compensation structure may include additional rewards incentives and benefits including but not limited to a discretionary bonus component.
