BARTs Human Resources department is actively recruiting to fill a Sr. Leave Management Analyst. The incumbent will work closely with Management Supervisors Labor Relations Legal and various Union Representatives. The successful incumbent in this position will uphold (but not limited to) the following responsibilities:
Overseeing Family Medical Leave (FML)
Workers Compensation
Reasonable Accommodations
ShortTerm and LongTerm Disability (STD/LTD) programs
The ideal candidate will demonstrate familiarity with and/or proficiency in the following areas in addition to the minimum qualifications:
Problemsolving skills and provide an analysis to support recommendations to BART stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage and manipulate large data with accuracy and efficiency.
Strong communication skills in various mediums and forums.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across business functions and with external parties.
Ability to collaborate and support business functions on high priority timesensitive projects.
Ability to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and effectively develop communicate and implement recommended solutions.
Selection Process
Applications will be screened to assure that minimum qualifications are met. Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will then be referred to the hiring department for the completion of further selection processes.
The selection process for this position may include a skills/performance demonstration a written examination and a panel and/or individual interview.
The successful candidate must have an employment history demonstrating reliability and dependability; provide copies of certificates diplomas or other documents as required by law including those establishing his/her right to work in the U. S; pass a preemployment medical examination which may include a drug and alcohol screen and which is specific to the essential job functions and requirements. Preemployment processing will also include a background check. (Does not apply to current fulltime District employees unless specific job requires additional evaluations).
Education:
Possession of a bachelorsdegreeinBusinessPublicAdministrationHumanResourcesora closelyrelatedfieldfromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity.
Experience:
The equivalent of three 3 years of fulltime professional verifiable experience in leave management workers compensation human resources or a closely related experience.
Substitution:
Additional professional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the education on a yearfor year basis. A college degree is preferred.
