Description
The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live work and connect with their community.
Even though we are the largest selfdirected services provider in Maryland with over 3000 Participant employers enrolled statewide our SelfDirected Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with IDD in experiencing greater selfdetermination independence and choice in their services.
The Senior Payroll Specialist will support payroll processing to ensure a proper and timely biweekly selfdirected participants employee payroll. The Senior Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate and timely reporting of employee updates taxes garnishment and compliance reports. The Senior Payroll Specialist will facilitate open communication with all participant employees and employers regarding program and internal policy and procedure. The Senior Payroll Specialist must be versatile and able to successfully manage multiple demands and processing deadlines.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a high level of customer service experience value accuracy and attention to detail in their work communicate professionally and in a timely manner with all stakeholders and work well independently and as part of a team.
This role requires a high school diploma or GED though a bachelors degree in business or human resources is preferred along with a minimum of two years of experience in Payroll and/or Human Resources. This is a fully remote position but the candidate must be able to travel to our Linthicum Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for meetings as needed.
