The opportunity:

The Finance & Services Director for Roche Pharma Poland is part of the Enabling Team the affiliates executive leadership team reporting into the General Manager with a functional reporting line to the Area Finance Manager Europe North & Europe South.

You will be jointly accountable for the affiliate commercial outcomes financial leadership and fostering an environment that promotes trust transparency and a customer centricity that inspires and motivates teams to develop and adopt an agile way of working. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial results of the affiliate leading business finance & insight procurement & site ops logistics & distribution and tender & collection teams.

You will play an active role in fostering collaboration and seeking synergies with other Roche legal entities & divisions under One Roche strategy. Your responsibility and influence will go beyond Pharma. You will collaborate and support other divisions of Roche Poland IT PDG (clinical operations) Global Procurement Hub RIS (Roche Informatics Solutions) which have a significant local footprint (in total 800FTEs). You will be part of the Country Council (consisting of GMs/divisional Leaders in Poland) setting direction for One Roche in Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

Reporting Analysis Forecasting & Planning

  • Guide the business in meeting our Ambition by providing relevant financial as well as nonfinancial information & business insights

  • Drive fitforpurpose business dialogue that captures key strategic directions

  • Proactively identify key challenges & opportunities & assess their impact on the organization

  • Ensure the organization has appropriate and timely access to data sets for monitoring to improve decision making

Business Partnering & Decision Making Support

  • Assess the companysfinancial & nonfinancial performance & advise ET on relevant risks conflicts opportunities & challenges

  • Provide financial information to relevant teams to assist themto meet their goals

  • Provide leadership in allocating financial resources & provide advice & counsel to optimally align investment

  • Provide finance perspectives to the overall company strategy

  • Identify and support new business opportunities improving affiliate processes and facilitating prioritization discussions and decisions as well as an efficient usage of funds

  • Ensure that headqu and affiliate initiatives and projects are supported and implemented locally

  • Contribute to network outcomes and be an active member in the area finance network

  • Prioritize and enable One Roche initiatives driving synergies & impact on entire Roche Group level

Operations

  • Ensure integrity & reliability of all financial statements

  • Establish & maintain robust financial systems processes & finance controls to ensure integrity & reliability of data

  • Manage the local finance & accounting function ensuring adherence to Roche Group Accounting (FGA) & local accounting standards

  • Provide support to the whole organization in the area of Procurement & Site Ops Tender & Collection Logistics & Distribution

  • Ensure that product replenishment processes comply with local and international legislation and procurement operations align with global and local policies

  • Together with Compliance Officer ensure high standards of business integrity and a fostering of a culture of integrity and ethical business practices

Leadership

  • Lead Finance Analytics & Services Cluster

  • Act as a VACC (Visionary Architect Coach and Catalyst) role model to the entire organization

  • Develop People within and beyond the local organization

Who you are:

You are an experienced and highly creative leader of crossfunctional and networked teams who knows how to both find and develop diverse talent and connect them to the wider enterprise. You maintain a global strategic approach and inspire dedication of multigenerational selforganized empowered teams. You are an effective leader and coach with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who can influence and enable decisions and you thrive in a fastpaced highperforming environment where you can and will challenge the status quo and be challenged.

  • You have a minimum 10 years of finance experience with 5 years in leadership positions and a professional Accounting qualification (CPA CA ACA CIMA) or University Degree in similar fields. MBA preferred.

  • You have a proven record of ensuring financial governance and a strong network with the internal and external financial communities.

  • You share the Roche Values of Integrity Courage & Passion and you embody VACC (Visionary Architect Coach and Catalyst) leadership principles being a servant leader and leading by example.

  • You show outstanding business acumen and strategic agility and strong entrepreneurial influencing and negotiation skills with a proven ability to get things done without authority and highly adept at identifying solutions that will meet the needs of all involved parties.

  • You cultivate a focus on people development while creating and empowering a winning team through coaching and leadership and you champion a culture that is inclusive and embraces diversity.

  • Fluent in English Polish is a differential advantage.

At Roche we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with inperson collaboration. For now we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week.
