Job Description
Hire Resolves client is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee and ensure quality assurance on a major construction project in the Johannesburg area. The ideal candidate will be detailoriented technically skilled and capable of ensuring that all construction work is carried out to the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with drawings specifications and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and produce detailed reports.
Identify and report on poor workmanship materials and potential risks.
Liaise with contractors consultants and project managers onsite issues.
Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained onsite.
Verify and document completed work for progress claims and signoffs.
Maintain thorough records of inspections site activities and deviations.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience as a Clerk of Works in the construction sector.
Proven experience on largescale building or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes quality standards and health & safety regulations.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Relevant technical qualification (e.g. diploma or certification in construction management civil engineering or similar).
Own transport and valid drivers license preferred.
