Location: Nantes

Located inNorway and France the team consists of 50highly competent and diverse members. Due to the unique engineering skills of our team we are able to plan and execute marine and land cable installation projects anywhere in the world. We are able to overcome environmental constraints and client requirements with our unique engineering expertise. This time our team is expanding so we are looking for a new colleague.
Getting a flying start
To succeed inMarine Installation you need experience in theenergy maritime offshore oil&gas marine and constructionfields. The SOW of our projects will require you tobe an expert in geophysical and geotechnical surveys.Working closely with projectsubcontractors you will firstevaluate survey proposalsand thenspecify survey equipment/personnelneeded for our own installation vessels. This will be based onproject requirements and frame agreements with the survey subcontractors. You will providesurvey input to procedures plans analyses calculations and other documentation. You will be an active participant indeveloping technical solutionsrelated to the survey aspect of marine cable laying and marine subsea protection. On top of that you will participatein QA and HSE activitiesinternally in the department and in projects.
Your starting point when you join
- BSc or MSc degreein the area ofLand & Hydrographic surveying Geophysics Geology Geomatics or similar
- 5 8years of relevant experience from offshore or subsea operations related to the following operations; Geophysical &Geotechnical survey or positioning
- Relevant background could be online surveyor survey data processing project surveyor
- Knowledge about ESRI ArcGIS and Eiva Navimodel will be an advantage. In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you are used to work structured and accurate when writing technical documentation/procedures.
- Our fastpaced environment allows us to meet short deadlines and work at high speed.
- Nexans works in teams based on project so being selfdriven and being able to take charge of ones own tasks are of the utmost importance.
- Fluent inEnglish oral and written.Norwegian and/or Frenchis a plus.
