The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live work and connect with their community.
Even though we are the largest selfdirected services provider in Maryland with over 3000 Participant employers enrolled statewide our SelfDirected Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with IDD in experiencing greater selfdetermination independence and choice in their services.
As we build the future of selfdirection in Maryland the Compliance Review Specialist will be responsible for maintaining contract standards through audits of the onboarding process documentation and clearance processes for Participants employees. The Compliance Review Specialist will collaborate with program Participants and their employees support team members and leadership to promote the most efficient and effective resolution strategies across all processes. Compliance best practices are to be maintained implemented and monitored regarding the complete onboarding process background checks verification of legal documents and maintaining and updating employee data.
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a high level of customer service experience and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities and populations. Being detailoriented highly responsive and a clear communicator will be essential for this position. They should also have exceptional analytical reasoning and problemsolving skills and the ability to identify analyze and resolve compliance issues.
This role requires a high school diploma or GED though a bachelors degree in business or human resources is preferred along with a minimum of two years of experience in human resources processing onboarding and new hire documentation using an HRIS system. This is a fully remote position though the candidate must be able to travel to our Linthicum Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for meetings as needed.
