Job Description

White 6 is a thirty bed unit with the clinical specialty being Orthopaedics and Oral Maxillofacial. The population of patients includes elective total joint replacement trauma and orthopedic oncology.

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists RNs with a variety of tasks including taking vital signs EKGs phlebotomy and ADLs.

Shift: 40 hours 8hour nights weekend and holiday rotation included.

  • Current CNA certificate for Massachusetts and previous experience preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients staff and providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self.
