Job Description
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Home Health
Primary Service Area: Yadkin County
Schedule/Hours per Week: MondayFriday 40 hours)
Hugh Chatham Health at Home (formerly Yadkin Valley Home Health) proudly serves Alexander Alleghany Ashe Davie Forsyth Iredell Stokes Surry Wilkes and Yadkin counties in NC.
Carries out treatment implementation and documentation of client status for home health clients under the direction of the registered physical therapist.
Education and Formal Training: Graduate of a twoyear collegelevel program approved by the American PT Association and has achieved a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service. Licensed as a physical therapy assistant in North Carolina.
EXTENDED TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERED FOR NEW GRADUATES!
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact sensitivity sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients families and coworkers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures fire safety disaster and infection control policies.
