The University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking an academic palliative medicine physician for our expanding program. Clinical duties will include both inpatient and outpatient activities. Protected time for teaching and research is offered.
The Division of Gerontology Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine resides in the Department of Medicine and is comprised of a team of 5.5 MDs 2 NPs 3 RNs dedicated Clinical Pharmacist Chaplain and Social Worker. In addition a fulltime Program Coordinator and Business Administrator complete the team. The members of the team serve as expert palliative consultants to the UMMCs multidisciplinary services adding an extra layer of support to patients and their families.

Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher however final rank tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidates qualifications and experience.
The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $182937 (min) and $ 274000 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information please contact the hiring department.
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicines good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidates geographic location skills work experience internal equity market conditions education/training and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
