Job Description
Business Insider is hiring a motion design fellow to join our news team and work on stories and animations for Risky Business and other shows across the team.

The Role & Team:
The fellow in this role will spend their time creating original and creative animations for various series including Risky Business and Big Business. Here are some recent examples:

Why Sand Divers Risk Their Lives 300 Times A Day For The Worlds Most Mined Resource
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of After Effects and a passion for animation. They will work closely with videographers and producers to create videos for a wide audience across the web and various social media platforms including YouTube Facebook Twitter Snapchat and Reels.
This role reports directly to the Senior Motion Designer and sits on the larger video team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quickly execute visually engaging animations for our documentaries which will be shared across platforms
- Concept storyboard and iterate on graphics based on feedback from teammates
- Collaborate with the larger news team on preproduction production and postproduction workflows
- Possess strong skills in Adobe After Effects Illustrator Premiere Photoshop and After Effects. Proficiency in Premiere Illustrator and other Adobe software is a plus
The ideal candidate has:
- A passion for visual storytelling through animations
- Experience shooting with Canon Panasonic and Sony cameras is a plus
- Experience with video editing in Adobe Premiere is a plus
Additionally all of our editorial fellows should have:
- A passion for digital storytelling and voracious reading habits
- Familiarity with digital and social media
- The ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fastpaced team
- A love of Business Insider and our mission to serve readers with the information and inspiration they need in a way thats accurate fair fast and fun
- Fellows are paid $20 per hour (overtime when needed and approved)
- PTO and paid holidays
- Eligible for medical dental and vision benefits on 91st day of employment
