Position: Reading teacher(0.5 FTE)
The preferred candidate will possess a K12 Reading License. Candidates should have familiarity with the following reading programs: Fundations Read Naturally Wilson Orton Gillingham as well as other reading programs. Certification in Wilson or OrtonGillingham preferred.
Candidates should also have experience supporting students in need of reading support at the elementary school level.
The duties of the position consist of working with students in need of reading intervention services in grades K5 in a pull out setting either 1:1 or in small groups. Teacher may also support students in the classroom and work in collaboration with classroom teachers and special educators.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Per Arlington Education Association (AEA) Unit A Contract 183 Days
REPORTS TO: Special Education Coordinator/Building Principal
SALARY/BENEFITS: In accordance with AEA Unit A Contract.
Salary and Benefits are consistent with theCollective Bargaining Agreement between the Arlington School Committee and the Arlington Education Association.
TheSalary Scheduleis on our website. Salary placement is based on Education and Experience.
