Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) PRN
Hugh Chatham Health at Home (formerly Yadkin Valley Home Health) proudly serves Alexander Alleghany Ashe Davie Forsyth Iredell Stokes Surry Wilkes and Yadkin counties in NC.
Provides home nursing care under the direction and supervision of an RN based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process in the home.
Education and Formal Training: Successful completion of an LPN program. Licensed to practice nursing in the State of North Carolina. Current CPR or obtain within 30 days of hire.
Must have a current/valid drivers license reliable transportation and a satisfactory driving record.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact sensitivity sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients families and coworkers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop thorough knowledge of home care emergency policies and procedures fire safety disaster and infection control policies.
