Job Description
David Weekley Homes a progressive leader in the homebuilding industry and nationally recognized for awardwinning designs is seeking a Conceptual Designer with a passion for residential architecture to join our Design team designing concept sketches of singlefamily homes in a variety of styles across the country.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design targeted state of the art production homebuilder product
- Managing projects through the process
- Program (product line) analysis
- Competition analysis
- Balancing design vs. cost per foot
- Designing to a targeted price per foot
Qualifications :
- 810 years designing original residential elevations and floor plans. Experience working with residential production design is preferred
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or closely related field
- Highly proficient in designing floor plans and elevations utilizing either freehand design or AutoCAD (or similar software program) Sketchup experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of residential plans and construction drawings
- Licensed Architect or someone who has completed the IDP program and is preparing to sit for the exam is a plus
- An ideal candidate will possess the following essential soft skills: team player excellent time and project management problem solving sense of urgency creative detail oriented and a great deal of flexibility

Work Location: This position is based at our headquarters in Houston TX. Nonlocal candidates must be willing to relocate. We offer relocation assistance within the U.S. for this position.
