A Software Test Development Engineer designs creates and tests new products systems and services. Engages crossfunctionally with other technical / engineering teams to define product requirements determine mechanical physical and software design direction develop concepts drive production processes test prototypes and make real time adjustments to improve performance and functionality.



Responsibilities
  • Provides Development Engineering for an assigned set of applications or system elements.
  • Develop debug and maintain test software codebase.
  • Repair damaged test equipment and validate before redeployment.
  • Develops solutions for technology processes and practices for build and release management application lifecycle changes operation service delivery and support.
  • Assists with project definition scoping resource planning risk assessment change control and monitoring.
  • Performs factory equipment setup training and rampup with continued support in a global environment.
  • Develops implements and monitors product testing in a global environment.
  • Collaborates with other engineers and crossfunctional technical team members to resolve platform issues.
  • Ability to interface with factory support individuals in an international environment.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and priorities


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education plus work experience
  • Experience programming in C C C#
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to travel up to 10 including international.
  • Minimum of 24 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Development Engineering.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Visual Studio Eclipse or other IDEs and/or National Instruments LabWindows
  • Knowledge of National Instrument Data Acquisition (DAC)
  • PCB Design & Associated Software
  • .NET and SQL knowledge
