Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive people strategies aligned with cluster objectives.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to cluster leadership.
  • Design and execute talent management and development frameworks.
  • Compile and Manage HR and Training Budgets.
  • Advice on Reward and Remuneration Budget needs.
  • Create highperformance culture and employee engagement programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation and organizational policies.
  • Responsible for all employee relations and union relationships and Bargaining councils.
  • Align to the Groups Transformation Plans.
  • Ensure thorough and effective recruitment implementation to address demographic shortages.
  • Lead organizational design and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Facilitate reengineering projects.
  • Facilitate overall physical and psychological wellbeing of all employees.
  • Provide advanced people analytics and strategic insights.


Minimum Requirements
  • Human Resource Management Psychology or related tertiary qualification.
  • Preferred Post Graduate qualification in Human Resources / Business Management Psychology or related area.
  • Minimum 10 years of human capital experience of which 5 years are management experience directly managing a team.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working at strategic leadership level.
  • Experience in Culture change and Change management.
  • Experience in a services retail industry or labour intensive environment.
  • Able to lead multiple business units.
  • Experience with and application of LRA BCEA OHS SDA EEA WCA BBBEE Union/ Worker Council relations including Unions and Recognition agreements.
