Job Description

Your Contribution

This position is responsible for the provision of highlevel operational support to the Director of Health Services and Health Managers including support around quality and compliance processes in the corporate health and community health space.

While the position reports to the Director of Health Services the position will work closely with the broader Primary Care team to support quality risks and compliance processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage primary health data systems
  • Extract and prepare data reports on primary health performance indicators
  • Support primary health executives and managers with quality and compliance tasks
  • Oversee and support external audits and accreditation processes
  • Liaise with Managers / Program Practice Leads to support activity and performance reporting
  • Monitor and support the implementation of quality management and improvement processes
  • Monitor progress towards relevant targets and / or support and assist with completion of all reporting by due dates in accordance with service agreements
  • Assist with the preparation submission and tracking of reports to funding bodies
  • Prepare recommendations on updating procedures and/or practices to align with regulatory standards

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in compliance and quality improvement activities within healthcare sector
  • Experience in use of health data systems
  • Administration experience working in Australian general practice or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service
  • Knowledge of Medicare / Medical benefits scheme (MBS) is advantageous

Required Licenses and Checks

  • Ability to pass a National Police Check No Serious/Criminal/Court Records
  • Current Blue Card (Queenslands Working with Children Check)

Required Attributes

  • Proficiency in IT and data analysis
  • High degree of cultural awareness and safety in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • Ability to positively commit to foster success within a supported team environment
  • Promote and support a team collaborative approach to all Quality Risk and Compliance tasks
