The job
The Clinical Supervisor Behavioral Health Program accomplishes program objectives by supervising clinical staff overseeing the delivery of behavioral health care organizing and monitoring work processes and functioning as a member of the IAH team.
You will
- Supervise and coordinate daytoday clinical and programmatic operations of the Insights program team who provide behavioral health services to frail economically disadvantaged culturally diverse older adults and caregivers
- Maintain effective and proficient staff by participating in the hiring process to select qualified employees orienting training and supervising employees and developing professional growth opportunities to improve skills.
- Ensure efficient operations by developing schedules assigning and monitoring work provides input to delivery of behavioral health gathering resources monitoring productivity standards resolving operational problems maintaining reference manuals implementing new procedures and reviewing clinical charts on a sustained basis.
- Accomplish staff job results by coaching and counseling employees; planning monitoring and appraising job results; conducting training; assigning workload; implementing policies and procedures; observing home visits and telephone contacts; providing regular feedback to staff.
- Ensure performance and resource utilization is in accordance with Insights policies and scope of service consulting on situations outside the usual and following all established guidelines to maintain appropriate clinical service delivery.
- Provide quality service by working collaboratively with other IAH staff SCAN staff community representatives and other professionals and paraprofessionals involved in the care of the client and family. Ensures effective communication with clients and family members and sets a positive example for staff.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by keeping up with Medicare and MediCal policies and federal and state legislation as it affects older adults and/or caregivers; maintaining active clinical license in good standing; attending educational workshops related to behavioral health; reviewing professional publications and scientific journals related to behavioral health; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and meetings.
- Contribute to team efforts and assists with the overall growth of IAH by participating as member of the IAH management team further developing and sharing expertise with peers and others speaking up in meetings and inhouse trainings thinking creatively filling in for line staff and mangers when necessary to accomplish goals and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- MSW/LCSW
- 2 yr Min experience with High Risk Homeless Elderly Populations in hospital clinic healthcare or managed care setting
- MUST be bilingual in Spanish
- Type 35 wpm and Excel Proficiency
- High Energy and comfortable in a fast paces Setting
