Reporting to the Fairmont Gold Leadership Team responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service.
- Provide exceptional table service in the Fairmont Gold lounge.
- Identify guest preferences and act on them to develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty.
- Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items. Have knowledge of all menu items garnishes contents and preparation methods.
- Proactively anticipate guests needs.
- Set up and break down all food and beverage presentations in the lounge (breakfast coffee/tea service bar service and canaps).
- Ensure the lounge is well maintained at all times including transitioning the ambiance between different food and beverage presentations.
- Ensure the lounge area remains pristine wellstocked and up to high standards.
- Clear dishes from guest tables and ensure cleanliness of the lounge and service areas.
- Collaborate with other team members (concierge front desk) to ensure smooth operations in the lounge.
- Create strong relationships with departments that support Fairmont Gold primarily the culinary and stewarding departments.
- Extend complimentary services (e.g. drinks) and inform guests of additional offerings when possible.
- Remember and cater to the personal preferences of returning VIP guests.
- Ensure all Fairmont Chteau Laurier policies procedures and corporate Fairmont Gold standards are known followed and acted upon at all times.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage items.
- Organize and maintain the Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas to ensure efficiency.
- Assist with inventory control for Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas (food and liquor).
- Follow all sustainability standards and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Food and Beverage serving experience with knowledge of highend dining etiquette required.
- Possess strong verbal communication skills (English and French) for interacting with guests and team members.
- Hold a smart serve certification.
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays.
- Have experience in a hotel resort or luxury setting especially in guestfacing roles (e.g. concierge front desk or lounge service).
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask including managing guest requests coordinating with departments and handling supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism especially with highprofile guests.
- Be highly responsible and reliable.
- Demonstrate strong problemsolving abilities.
- Be able to work independently while maintaining high service standards.
- Adhere to dress code standards and possess a professional presentation.
- Bartending skills an asset.

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Frequent loading pushing and pulling of luggage carts weighing up to 500 lbs
