Job Description

Overview

Onondaga Community College located in Syracuse NY is currently recruiting for Applied Engineering Faculty FullTime Tenure Track

Major responsibilities of this position include collegelevel teaching of Electrical Electromechanical (Mechatronics) and/or Mechanical Technology courses and laboratories in content areas such as machining manufacturing engineering drawing creation circuit design and analysis digital electronics microprocessor programmable logic controllers and other typical electromechanical technical areas. Additional responsibilities include academic advising curriculum development participation on committees and collaboration with colleagues to assess student learning outcomes.

MET 275 Engineering Computation
ELT 141 Circuits 1 (classes and labs)
ELT 142 Circuits 2 (classes and labs)
ELT 161 Electronics 1 (classes and labs)
ELT 261 Electronics 2 (classes and labs)
ELT 171 Digital Electronics (classes and labs)
ELT 271 Introduction to Microprocessors (classes and labs)

Knowledge of electromechanical applications in demand by local industry is also valued including but not limited to:hydraulics & pneumatics robotics soldering & electronic assembly electrical test & measurement mechanical assembly techniques motors & controllers sensors & machine vision and industrial control systems.

Additional Information:

Thestarting salary for the rank of Instructor is $50000 and Assistant Professor is $56250. Salaries forare not yet available. Fulltime faculty can make an additional $15000$20000 annually by teaching more than 15 credits in each regular semester and by teaching during offhand (e.g. summer) periods.

Onondaga Community College offers a generous and competitive benefits package including:

During each fall and spring semester teaching typically occurs Monday through Friday 8:00 am 10:30 pm. Schedules including five required office hours each week are selected in advance for each semester.
